You're going to love this next fundraising event — the fourth annual Bet for Pets Casino Night and Auction! Kimberly Maus, host of Good Day Oregon, will serve as event MC and auctioneer.
Time: Gaming from 7:00-10:00 pm
Prize and Auction awards starting at 10pm
Place: The World Forestry Center – Miller Hall MAP
Cost: $40 per ticket, available at the door.

The gambling portion of event is being managed by Wild Bill's (who's that?), a premiere party planning organization. Besides gaming (blackjack, roulette and craps), there will be lots of prizes, appetizers, music, and a no-host bar. With each ticket purchase you receive $10 in gaming scrip (what's scrip?) and one raffle ticket at the door. This will be an evening of fun and excitement!
Don't know how to play poker, craps or roulette? Don't worry, Wild Bill's staff is wonderful at teaching and coaching you to make the best gaming decisions, all while providing an exciting and fun atmosphere.
Sounds Fun, But Just Exactly How Will This Help the Animals?
Business and private sponsorships of both gaming tables and prizes will allow
us to direct the proceeds from ticket and scrip sales to where it is
needed most – the
animals and their environment at our facility.
But
that doesn't mean that you won't win anything – far from it!
Thanks to our generous sponsors, no matter what kind of luck you have at the
gaming tables you can win anything from a basket of gourmet goodies a week in Sun River! Watch this page as the list of goodies grows and grows....

The Auctions
Whether you're more comfortable with a discrete Silent Auction, or whether you prefer the adrenaline rush of the Oral Auction conducted by our celebrity auctioneer Kimberly Maus, you're going to have a good time.
Note: Silent Auction participants must be present to win, because payment of their bid must be confirmed. When the gaming tables close at 10:00 pm, the Silent Auction winner names will be posted on an easel in the auction area. Winners should then visit the cashier and pay for their item by 10:10 when the raffle drawing will begin. CLICK HERE to review how our Silent Auction will work.

In addition, you can choose from a wide array of baskets created by volunteers Cheryl A., Tina A., Emma M., Jeanne S., and more. Thank you to all our wonderful volunteers and let us know if you would also like to create a basket. We would love your help!
We’ll also be offering many raffle prizes to keep your furry friends happy like the perfect sleeping place from www.kittycot.com, gift certificates to pet sitter extraordinaire thekittysitter-counselor.com, treats from local pet food and supply stores, animal communication sessions from Pet’s Point of View Holistic Pet Consulting, and much more!
How Does the Raffle Work? Individual larger items, and beautifully
bundled groups of smaller, related items are placed on tables, each with a
jar in front of it. (Remember that for every $50 in casino scrip/chips you
have accumulated at the end of the evening, you will get one raffle ticket.)
All participants then put their tickets in the raffle jars of just those items
that tickle their fancy. This way, when the raffle tickets are drawn for each
prize, the pool of potential winners is limited to people who actually want that
prize.
Raffle participants need not be present to win as long as they put their name and phone number or admission ticket number on the back of each raffle ticket so that we have a way to notify them that they won a prize. If an absentee name is called we will phone the winner the following week to come to the office to claim the prize.
