Our Special Projects Agility Ring Crew assisted the Portland Agility Club for two full days of their AKC Canine Agility Trial.

Our volunteers put in two good day's work (thank you all!), earning $530.00 for our Fund for Veterinary Care.

February 14 – March 17: The Eighth Annual Tom & Mom Cat Special

In conjunction with Spay Day USA, Animal Aid joins other local animal rescue groups and participating local veterinary clinics to offer $10 male cat neuters and $15 female cat spays to low-income households. Over 500 cats were altered through this event last year! CLICK HERE to learn more about it....

Benefit Concert for the
Animal Aid Annie's Angels Fund

We were treated to a delightful musical concert by Amelia Coffey, a talented Portland-area songwriter/musician who puts her music where her heart is. This concert was a benefit for Animal Aid's new Annie's Angels Fund, which was established to aid individuals in caring for a pet's debilitating medical condition.

May 1: Benefit Show at the Hawthorne Theater

Friday May 1st, Liberation Logistics together with Backline Records hosted an-all ages show at The Hawthorne Theatere (at 1507 SE 39th Ave, Portland, OR 97214) to benefit Animal Aid. Bands includeTravis Williams and the Love, Wet Pig, Dream Killer, Falling Closer, and Cities. The show and raffle raised over $700.00 for Animal Aid!

May 15: Ladies' Night at Momo's

Momo's Wholesale Designer Clothes at 339 NE Cedar at 4th Ave. in downtown Camas, WA, hosted an evening of "fashionista fun," donating a portion of the evening's sales to Animal Aid. What a fun night! Champagne, the latest fashions from New York and L.A.'s hottest designers at 50% off, while Momo's favorite masseuse and acupuncturist provided FREE mini-services during the event. Thank you, Momo's!

May 19: Paws n' Sip At Oscar Albert

The Paws n' Sip event was held at Oscar Albert Wine Bar. Garden Nursery. Bottle Shop on SE Division in Portland. About 35 people attended, most with dogs. Oscar Albert helped protect the guests and Animal Aid volunteers from the nasty weather with a big tent and umbrellas. No “spirits” were dampened, that’s for sure. Animal Aid volunteers fielded a number of questions from guests, and met a lot of nice people and pooches too.

Whole Foods Market

Laurelhurst Whole Foods "Bring Your Own Bag" Fundraiser

Laurelhurst Whole Foods Market is the definition of a neighborhood store — small, but with a BIG personality! Now through September 27th it is supporting three local non-profits (please choose Animal Aid!) by making a 10-cent donation for each bag that their customers bring in to contain their grocery order. Not only ecologically sound, but emotionally satisfying!

Bonus! An Animal Aid Outreach Team, accompanied by some of our adoptable dogs, will be at the store on Saturday, June 6 from 1-4:00.



June 12-14: Animal Aid Ring Crews Are Working at an AKC Agility Trial

July 17-19: Portland Beer Fest

Come visit our carnival booth at the Portland Beer Fest, held every summer in the North Park Blocks (Pearl District) in downtown Portland. This event raises funds for local animal rescue organizations, and Animal Aid is pleased to be one of them!

 

July 25: Western Pet Supply's Pet Adoption and Appreciation Day

Western Pet SupplyOur favorite pet supply store, Western Pet Supply, really puts on the dog for this event! Entertainment will include canine freestyle ("dancing with dogs"), demonstrations, and fun things to see and do for the entire family.

All proceeds from these special offerings go to benefit Animal Aid and our furry buddies at Rabbit Rescue!

July 26: Scion and Clear Channel present: The Paw Crawl!

Drive one home for Animal Aid July 26th. At The Lucky Labrador Brew Pub on SE Hawthorne Blvd (CLICK HERE for directions) Bring your dog and enjoy a good time all for a great cause – Animal Aid! With Jammin 107.5 and Z100 Radio! Have your dog's picture taken, put your best friends;s paw print on the Scion car and hang out with animal and fun lovers.

A live doggie-cam will capture close-ups and poochie antics with the “Sniff Here” button on the paw print Scion and capture video of your 4-legged artists. Videos will be uploaded and showcased on the station’s websites, YouTube, Twitter, Widget, Facebook, after the event. Proceeds benefit Animal Aid!

A reading and book signing, with refreshments, wine, “Wag Bags” for guests, music and door prizes. Tickets available soon.
