Hello, welcome to Animal Aid. My name is Kami. That’s what I say when people walk through the door. I’m the official greeter so I’ll be the first kitty you’ll see. I’m a good greeter because I’m outgoing and I like people. Look, I even help around the office. Here I am waiting for a fax. Is that an application to adopt me? No, not yet. I like my job, but it’s only temporary until I can find a job as a house cat. That’s my real career choice.

If I were applying for a job as your house cat, I would tell you that I could handle an active household, and I’m intelligent and very curious. My weakness? Well, there’s only one. I don’t really like other cats. I can tolerate them if I have to, but I’d prefer to be your only cat. Why would you need someone else when you’ve got me? I’ll always be there with you and I won’t take any vacation days. I don’t mind overtime and weekend work. You’d think that with so many positive things I’ve got going that not liking other cats wouldn’t be a problem. But it’s a tough job market out there and I’ve been working this temporary job for a year now, waiting for someone to give me the break I need.

My hobbies are playing with all sorts of cat toys. The shelter gave me an honorary MST (Master of String Toys) because I’m so good at catching them. I also like to play laser light and catch the mouse. And I like running the crazy cat dash through the reception area! My references will confirm that I’ve got a gentle nature and am very sweet. Off the record, I like to give little kisses and will say hi by touching my pink nose to yours.

I was born 2007 and have been at the shelter since March 2009.

So, when can I start?

Kami is a medium-size female whose estimated birth year is 2007. She is adopted, and is currently living with the adoptive family. Like all of our pets, Kami is current on all vaccinations, has been treated for parasites, and will be microchipped and spayed before going home with the adoptive family.
