Meet Benny

Hi, I’m Benny. My brother, Blake, and I came to the shelter with our mom and littermates. We were just babies then, born March 2009. You can watch our kitten video here. We were adorable, right? Cute and happy and friendly. My littermates and even my mom were adopted, but here it is a year later and we’re still waiting. Soon the 2010 kittens will be arriving and how will we be able to compete with them?

It seems like we’ll never get out of here. We’ve seen so many cats and kittens come and go and Blake and I are still here. We’ve never had a home or a family. We don’t know what a kitchen is or a bedroom. We don’t know what it would be like not to have lots of new people touching us and picking us up. All we know is this one big room with lots of cats.

Everyone at the shelter plays with us, and they feed us and care for us if we get sick, but it’s not like having a real home. We would be so happy if someone wanted us. We’d keep you entertained too because Blake and I are lots of fun. If you want to see us in action, here we are playing in a bag. Here I am starring in a video where I swat at the water coming out of the faucet. Darn, I can’t figure out how to stop it.

We’re both affectionate, and neither of us have any bad habits. Sometimes I think I’m still a kitten and can fit in the same places I used to. I’m sure Cricket and I used to be able to sleep in the same bed. How did we do that?! Am I really that big now?! Later Baby and I had some snuggle time. We do that a lot.
