| Hi! I'm Misty the little Princess and that name fits perfectly... a , beautiful, calico Persian mix princess and one of a kind. My mom, Krista and me wound up at the county shelter when our family couldn't care for us. To tell the truth we were terrified! The steel cages, the noises and smells were overwhelming and we couldn't stop trembling and hiding. The nice shelter people saw we weren't doing well and asked Animal Aid to give us a second chance because the scary shelter just wasn't working out. Even though I seem brave when I venture out and explore, I rush right back by my mom’s side for comfort. I’m a moma’s girl, I admit it! The volunteers here have a thing that sure looks like a bird and it flies right by me! I can catch it sometimes and I feel like a little tigress when I do! I've spent my whole life with my mom and stay close to her. We’re grateful Animal Aid took both of us in and are going to find a home for both of us together. We’re mature girls and you will feel good knowing you have opened your heart and given a second chance to a couple of sweet ladies when you adopt us! Misty is a medium-size female whose estimated birth year is 2005. She is adopted, and is currently living with the adoptive family. | ||

Good to Know
- All adoptable animals receive any necessary veterinary care, are current on all vaccinations, treated for parasites, microchipped and spayed/neutered prior to adoption,

- Not all animals available for adoption live at our shelter – all of the dogs and several of the cats are in foster homes. To meet these animals, please submit an adoption application. Once it has been reviewed you will be contacted to arrange a meeting.
- Important: Because we do home visits, we rarely adopt out of our local Portland metro area and we never ship an animal.
