All adoptable animals receive any necessary veterinary care, are current on all vaccinations, treated for parasites, microchipped and spayed/neutered prior to adoption,

Not all animals available for adoption live at our shelter – all of the dogs and several of the cats are in foster homes. To meet these animals, please submit an adoption application. Once it has been reviewed you will be contacted to arrange a meeting.
Important: Because we do home visits, we rarely adopt out of our local Portland metro area and we never ship an animal.

Hi There! Are you looking for tail wagging fun, a wiggle butt, and love all in one package? It's me! I am a victim of the 4th of July, one of the busiest times of the year for animals going into shelters. My peeps never came to get me but it turned out all for the best because I had a really bad tooth abscess that had traveled up to my eye. I got the medical care I needed at the shelter where they treated the abscess and polished my teeth to a sparkling white! I'm all better now and the best part is I got out of the county shelter and landed into a foster home. My first step at finding my furever home. My foster mom has another dog and kitties and we basically ignore each other. You know cats, they're kind of weird and hard to communicate with so I just leave them alone. I know what the dog door is for and use it. I am a mature girl who won't chew your furniture or belongings and know the finer pints of living with humans. I haven't met anyone I don't like and my foster mom thinks I would do well with children and would make a great family dog. The shelter folks guess I may be part beagle and part mystery. I'm a petite gal at less than 20 pounds so I don't require a lot of space. No fancy haircuts or grooming needs, just a nice daily walk, good food and someone to love is all I really need. Lucinda is a small-size female whose estimated birth year is 2002. She is adopted, and is currently living with the adoptive family.
