Our Programs
Learn how we assist animals at our shelter and in the community.

Rescue Program
We operate a free-roam shelter for cats and foster program for dogs and cats. We commit to the animals we rescue for life, including post-adoption support and a lifetime return policy.

Heartstrings Program
We specialize in helping animals we call Heartstrings Pets. These longer-term rescues may be senior animals, under-socialized or shy animals, or animals with medical or behavioral needs.

Animal Aid Cares Fund
The Cares Fund is a partnership with local veterinarians and trainers to assist with urgent medical or behavioral care. Since 2011, the fund has provided over $60,000 in lifesaving grants.

It takes a pack program
Formally established in 2021, this community supply sharing initiative distributes surplus animal food and supply donations to other rescues, groups, and animal guardians in need.
