It Takes a Pack Program
Formally established in 2021, It Takes a Pack is Animal Aid’s community supply sharing initiative. Throughout the year, it is not uncommon for our shelter to receive cat and dog food and supply donations from generous individuals and businesses that simply go beyond our need or ability to use in a timely manner. For many years, a small but mighty team of volunteers has worked behind the scenes to distribute this surplus to other rescues, groups, and animal guardians. Nevertheless, we’ve continued to see the need for assistance grow within our community, and this program is a direct response to that. Through it, we hope to contribute to a stronger mutual aid network within Portland, whereby access to essential animal care supplies is made available to a greater number of people and the animals they love.
Help us collect supplies for the community!
