The Basics: Well hi there! I’m Columbia. I’m a very affectionate kitty. I had all my teeth removed in 2020 due to a condition that made me allergic to my own teeth. I take a low dose of steroid liquid twice a day to keep inflammation of my gums down. I take my medicine in some gravy from a cat treat.  I was diagnosed in October as  diabetic so I get an insulin shot twice a day.

Likes: I am demure and very quiet with an almost silent meow. I am always ready to be petted, just be close, or sleep in your lap. I’m an expert at relaxing and will sometimes sleep with my limbs completely akimbo. I purr readily and like to cuddle. I have no problem being along for multiple hours and I typically have a good appetite.

I can occasionally get a little overstimulated in a lap and try to scratch your arm but once you know my signals it’s avoidable.

Dislikes: I probably don’t want to be with other cats or dogs please.

Looking for: A home that will give me lots of love! A home that understands the costs and commitment of taking care of a diabetic cat.

My estimated birth date is 3/1/2014.

All of our animals are vaccinated, treated for parasites, microchipped, spayed or neutered, and cats are tested for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) and feline leukemia virus (FeLv). All animals receive any necessary veterinary care (dentals, etc.) until the time of adoption.
