Hi, my name is Dot. I’m a shy gal. I came all the way from mean streets of Los Angeles where I was living outside an apartment complex with a bunch of other cats. It was kind of scary life in some ways, and someone threatened to poison me and my friends. I got a ride up here to Animal Aid, and I’m very thankful for my good meals and gentle care.
It takes me a long time to trust people, and I’m just at the point of allowing people to touch me while I’m eating. I do love play time, either with a human or on my own. For now, it’s not possible to pick me up or pet me unless I’m in my safe covered bed. However, I adore other cats and seek them out for comfort if they will give it.
So I’m kind of a work-in-purrogress or project cat. Do you have time and a lot of patience to give me to help me feel safe? Do you have another cat who just needs a buddy but don’t care if it takes me months to a year to warm up to you? I really do need to go to a home with another cat who needs a buddy.
My estimated birth date is 10/1/2015.
All of our animals are vaccinated, treated for parasites, microchipped, spayed or neutered, and cats are tested for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) and feline leukemia virus (FeLv). All animals receive any necessary veterinary care (dentals, etc.) until the time of adoption.
