Hi, I’m Gracie! I was found pregnant outside the home of a kind person took me in and helped me give birth. She found homes for my kittens and got me spayed and now I’m here at Animal Aid ready for a home of my own. I’m a smaller sized cat at about 8 lbs.

I can be a little spicy at first when in a new situation and may swat, but once I trust you and know I’m safe I’m a real sweetheart.

I had a little growth on my lip that the vet removed and sent out for testing. It was a gingival hyperplasia, which means it was caused by dental or peridontal disease (not anything like cancer). It might come back someday but to prevent that I should get regular dental cleanings and it’s not a problem if it does come back as long as it doesn’t get so big that I can’t chew (then it will need to be removed again).

Likes: I love play time! I love wet food! I love to get attention and am very sweet when we are buddies.

Dislikes: I would not do well with children or dogs since I can be nervous and swatty if I don’t like a situation. I am ok with some cats but don’t seem to want a close cat buddy just now.

Looking for: A patient and cat-experienced home that will give me time to readjust if I get scared during a transition.

My estimated birth date is 5/1/2019.

All of our animals are vaccinated, treated for parasites, microchipped, spayed or neutered, and cats are tested for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) and feline leukemia virus (FeLv). All animals receive any necessary veterinary care (dentals, etc.) until the time of adoption.
