Hi, I’m Guillermo. I’m a large friendly boy at about 17lbs. I can be shy at first and I don’t like hands coming toward my face but once I trust you I am very gentle. I will even sit on a lap sometimes and I have a great big purr. I can be talkative as well. My person passed away so I came to live at Animal Aid.

I had a few large lumps on my chest and under my armpit. Those were removed and discovered to have some high grade mast cell cancerous tumors. I had a few doses of chemotherapy pills and I have not had any new bumps since that initial time (Dec 2021).

All of our animals are vaccinated, treated for parasites, microchipped, spayed or neutered, and cats are tested for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) and feline leukemia virus (FeLv). All animals receive any necessary veterinary care (dentals, etc.) until the time of adoption.

You wouldn’t know I had cancer as I’m a hearty and social guy. I’m in remission but it’s unknown if my cancer will return. Animal Aid is looking for a foster or adopted home for me.

Likes:  I love to play like a goofball in a paper bag. Or sit on a paper bag. I also like to chew on plastic bags which I should not be allowed to do. I love any kind of food. I love laser toys and bird watching. I love to talk to my person, especially when I’m hungry! I sometimes like to try to clean my human officemate’s beard.

Dislikes: I take my time getting used to new situations. I might be ok with some cats but others I don’t like. I can have a big personality so I probably wouldn’t do great with small children as I would bite if I felt too bothered.

Looking For: A home that will give me time to adjust to show my full self and understands my special needs.

My estimated birthdate is 7/15/2012.
