The Basics: Well, hello. I’m Hemingway, and I’m a dapper little gentleman with an extra toe on each of my front paws, so it looks like I have little thumbs!
You also might notice I’m missing one of my eyes. I had my eye surgically removed, as it was very infected. I came from a home with a lot of cats, and my eye was probably painful for a long time before another shelter rescued me and then transferred me to Animal Aid. My other remaining eye had some minor surgery to fix something called entropion, which means my eyelashes were growing inside my eyelid.
I’m all good now, but the vet says I might be a feline herpes carrier, so I shouldn’t go to a home that has a kitten, a cat who is immune suppressed, or a very senior cat. I’m a talkative, petite cat and supposedly I do well with other cats.
Likes: I’m very affectionate with people and love to cuddle. I love to chase my toys.
Dislikes: Not much so far.
Looking for: A home that will give me lots of attention and love. I could go to a home with a healthy adult cat or another cat who is a feline herpes carrier.
I’m in a foster home so if you want to meet me, please put in an adoption application to set up a meeting. My estimated birth date is 7/29/2013.
All of our animals are vaccinated, treated for parasites, microchipped, spayed or neutered, and cats are tested for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) and feline leukemia virus (FeLv). All animals receive any necessary veterinary care (dentals, etc.) until the time of adoption.
