Um hi, I’m Marmalade. I’m a shy but affectionate tortoiseshell cat. I get scared of loud noises. I came from a rural shelter where I wasn’t getting enough adoption attention so I’ve spent a long time in shelters. I’m very gentle and sweet and will even tap your leg gently to ask for petting once I feel comfortable. I like to hide in a covered area to feel safe in the shelter environment.

I have some bad teeth that need to be pulled and I have a dental scheduled very soon. I might be one of those cats who needs dentals more often throughout my life.

Likes: I really like the company of another cat. I need to go to a home with a cat who wants a snuggle buddy and friend. I like people too and love cheek rubs but I need to trust you first.

Dislikes: I don’t want to live with dogs or small children.

All of our animals are vaccinated, treated for parasites, microchipped, spayed or neutered, and cats are tested for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) and feline leukemia virus (FeLv). All animals receive any necessary veterinary care (dentals, etc.) until the time of adoption.
