The Basics: Hello, I’m Nigel. I’m fluffy and soft guy who is on the shy side. I need a very quiet home with a cat experienced person. I’m very gentle and affectionate and have a great big purr when I’m cozy. I had a home my whole life but when a move happened and then a baby become a toddler I felt very upset. I developed issues using the litterbox and also started fighting with my friend cat. It’s clear I just can’t share a home with children. I have had no litterbox accidents in the shelter room I’m in and I eat a prescription urinary food to prevent any urinary crystals from forming.
Since coming to Animal Aid I mostly hide in a covered cat bed. When I sense it’s quiet and safe, I will show a lot more of my personality: rubbing up against your legs, rolling around on the ground, drooling, and sitting in front of you to demand attention. I will actually try to grab your hand in my paw so I can lick and gnaw at it…it’s a gentle gnaw, not a bite or nibble. I will sometimes meow more for attention too, though it’s always a quiet meow. I will sit in a lap or right in front of you if you are on the computer.
Likes: I love gentle attention and petting. I like to be brushed.
Dislikes: I don’t like surprises, children, noises, dogs. I did ok with another cat for most of my life but given that I started to attack him when I was stressed I would do better as an only cat.
Looking for: A very quiet and stable home that wants to help a sweet man like me blossom and feel safe again. No children, dogs, or other cats please.
My estimated birth date is 8/1/2010.
